As a child I always had an interest in drawing, painting and creating. I developed a love of calligraphy and letter-forms in my early teens, this led to my first “gig” as a designer, hand drawing and lettering posters for a local jazz concert featuring legendary jazz guitarist Louis Stewart and singer Honour Heffernan.
From there, I became the “go to” kid around town for all things creative.
I was bitten by this stage and managed to wrangle some work experience in the graphic design department of Berry’s Print Group in Westport, Co. Mayo.
With my mind firmly made up I went on to study Multimedia Design in the Institute of Art, Design & Technology – Dun Laoghaire. This opened my mind to how great design, across the board, works and how it can solve real-world problems, this is what really drives me.
I broadened my experience working as an in-house designer for many of the top companies in Ireland, as well as smaller early stage start-ups. I also take great pride in my work as a lecturer in the world of online education, having taught 1000’s of international students.
I’ve taken all this experience and applied it to working with personal clients of all shapes and sizes. Not only are my clients diverse, but their projects are also. I can handle projects from scratch (so your logo and brand identity, print materials, web/digital and even video/animation), or projects for established brands that build on pre-existing visuals and aesthetics. No matter the size of your project – I can do it all and be your single point of contact.
